Revolutionizing Community Engagement

Communiti evolved as a college senior project in response to a real-life challenge related to bridging the gap in community engagement.

This project included everything from creating a flawless user experience to designing an engaging theme and strategic approach to developing a solid business strategy, analytics structure, and promotional plan. Technical understanding was required, as we carefully built tech stack and a detailed Functional Requirements Document (FRD). Multiple user tests gave light on the user's point of view, providing critical insights that benefited the project's progress.

New residents often struggle to integrate into their local communities due to a lack of information about neighbourhood events and activities.

Residents are often unaware of safety concerns or incidents within their neighbourhoods in real time.

There's a lack of a centralized platform that enables existing and new residents to easily discover and share hidden attractions or local spots.

Local businesses face challenges in promoting their services to the neighbourhood residents effectively.

After logging in, the user sees their neighbourhood atmosphere as well as nearby attractions based on their location. This gives users a thorough image of their neighbourhood as well as a glimpse of neighbouring attractions including cafes and eateries.

Real-time local events

Based on their personalized choices specified at onboarding, users are presented with real-time local events and activities. The preferences that users set allow the platform to provide them with events and activities that are relevant to their interests.

Safety alerts

We provide users with real-time safety alerts and news based on situations in their immediate vicinity.

Pinning events and activities

Users can pin events and activities. Users can use this tool to list events and activities such as block parties, yoga, pilates, meetups, and many more.

Rewards

We provide communiti points to people who contribute to the community by offering help, listing an event or activity, and promoting businesses in the area. The users can then redeem these points with a variety of brands with whom the platform has partnered.
